One of the advantages of the truck driving industry is the availability of jobs for drivers in their 60's and 70's.
Bill Collins, the owner of Interstate Truck Driving School is proving baby boomers still have the skills to drive as he takes to the track in his 2004 Z06 Corvette in competition with the Sports Car Club of America. In a recent race at Michigan International Speedway, Bill (age 65) qualified second to a GM Development Engineer half his age, finished second in the Feature Race, and in the process set the fast time for the weekend along with setting a new track record for his class.
Drivers that stay healthy and a good work ethic have the ability to drive the big rigs safely and are highly sought after by the truck driving industry. Students that attend Interstate Truck Driving School have the choice of over 3 dozen companies that recruit our students.
