So far it looks like 2015 is a much better year for cargo thefts than 2014. CargoNet has released some very interesting and positive information that should lead to safer roadways and truck stops.

CargoNet recorded 213 total cargo theft incidents in the quarter, which is down 23 percent when compared to the same period last year but up 2 percent from the second quarter of this year. California saw the highest number of thefts in the quarter but did see a 43 percent drop in the number of thefts from the third quarter 2014. New Jersey saw the largest decrease in cargo thefts with a 73 percent decrease year over year.

While this is good news, there is always room for improvement. But there's no doubt that increased security, cameras, and more responsible drivers has led to the change.
