Entry Level Driver Training Rule 380 effective February 7th, 2022

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations are requiring extensive driver training for everyone seeking a Class A or Class B CDL effective February 7th, 2022.  Here is the index of the Curriculum that will be required by the new rules:

Appendix A to Part 380—Class A—CDL Training Curriculum
Appendix B to Part 380—Class B—CDL Training Curriculum
Appendix C to Part 380—Passenger Endorsement Training Curriculum
Appendix D to Part 380—School Bus Endorsement Training Curriculum
Appendix E to Part 380—Hazardous Materials Endorsement Training Curriculum
Appendix F to Part 380—LCV Driver Training Programs, Required Knowledge and Skills

This is going to have a major impact on the trucking industry and result in safer drivers starting their careers.

Interstate Truck Driving School has been gearing up to implement training consistent with the new rules.  Our training is already proficiency based as required on February 7th.  Because we have stepped up the quality of our training, our pass rate for students taking the CDL road test has been awesome the last couple of months.  We are very happy with how well our program is working to effectively training new drivers to learn the skills they need to be successful.
